Well I am not one for willy nilly using someones trademarked name and to be quite honest I'm not sure the legalities of me using the name in the title so lets just swap it around a bit for the name. This recipe is a new one to our household and was the perfect time to break in my brand new slow cooker
With the ever rising costs of groceries, our family has been using alternatives to our traditional favorites such as swapping ground beef for ground turkey, buying more items in bulk to help stretch costs, such as our Sugar, Flour, Rice, Beans, Seasonings, Oil, Dog Food, Paper Products(I am not lazy I just prefer to use Paper Plates) and honestly find a lot more meals to make with chicken, because chicken is by far cheaper and able to spread further than pork or beef.
The Garden of Olives Chicken Pasta recipe has been floating around for awhile now and I never keyed in on it too much because to be honest I didn't think my family would like it, but when the husband tags you in a recipe on Facebook that doesn't involve 25 steps, 36 different ingredients and can be done in your brand new crockpot? You take full advantage and run with it.
I am so glad I ran with this idea because my children ate it UP! The youngest who is the pickiest of them all said it was the best chicken he has ever tasted and the oldest ate the leftovers 2 days in a row when he got home from school and both requested it be made again within the next week.
Hope you and your family enjoy this as much as mine did and as always

The Garden of Olives Chicken Pasta
Ingredients-
2-3 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
1 Cup of Olive Garden Italian Salad Dressing (Here on Amazon)
1 Cup of Chicken Broth
2 Cups of Parmesan Cheese
1 Block of Cream Cheese
16 oz Cooked Penne Pasta
**Measure With Your Heart- Garlic, Pepper,Parsley, Italian Seasonings**
Directions-
Line your slow cooker with a plastic liner or tinfoil
Place your chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker
Add Chicken Broth and Italian Dressing
Add Black Pepper, Minced Garlic,Parsley, Italian Seasonings- Measure with your heart
Add 1 Cup of Parmesan Cheese and a Sprinkle more of Parsley
Place Block of Cream Cheese on Top - Do Not STIR
Put on the lid and Cook on Low for 6 hours or on High for 4 Hours- And I know how tempting it is to open the lid and get all the wonderful smells but this recipe works best when you leave the lid on during the cooking time.
When there is about 30 minutes left on your slow cooker timer, boil your penne pasta until the pasta is al dente
While your pasta is boiling take the chicken out of the slow cooker and shred, then return the chicken to the slow cooker and give the mixture a good stir
Once your pasta is done drain the water and then stir your pasta into the slow cooker and top with the remaining Parmesan cheese
Serve with Garlic Bread and a Caesar Salad
