Obligatory About Me Blog

So in case you haven't been able to notice, My name is Sarah! I am a newly founded Food Blogger, but a Lifetime food lover. I have been married to my high school sweetheart Travis since 2008 and we have 2 amazing little boys named Aiden William and Landry Travis. I am a licensed General Lines Insurance Agent here in the State of Texas, I currently work for a small independent insurance agency as their Personal Lines Account Manager and Marketing Director. I love football, specifically The Dallas Cowboys (and that's really hard to admit right now) and I love movies and t.v shows so if you have Netflix recommendations send them my way!

I began this food journey about 7 years ago when I randomly decided I wanted to publish a cookbook, Me at the age of 23 who hadn't even really made a meal that didn't come frozen or out of a box wanted to write a cookbook so it's not quite the life goal you tell everyone about, just one of those oh if only I could things. (The secret? Is that I can and ultimately I will.) However the cooking bug had bit, the first ever meal from full on scratch I made was Lasagna and it was such a hit that the leftovers 3 days later WERE STILL A HIT, and my skills have been slowly growing taking a few breaks here and there but continuously learning and creating.

I love getting to cook meals my family of picky eaters love, that meet all my requirements

I'm sure we have more requirements than this when you get into ingredient specifics but the basics are

1. Not being expensive because one thing about me is I ball...but on a budget.

2. Not super time consuming- I work a full time job and have 2 children in sports I am not spending my entire Sundays meal prepping or spending 2 1/2 hours in the kitchen every evening.

3. Not Overly Complicated - See step 1? that also means I don't have fancy pants equipment or really all that nice of cookware most of my kitchen items are either hand me downs, or something that went on sale...or just a plain cheapy dollar store version.

Most of the recipes I will share are new twists on classics or family recipes and I look forward to sharing them all with you. Be sure to sign up for my mailing list to receive notifications for new posts, giveaways and poll questions.

I will also be sharing tips and tricks to making sure you stretch your grocery budget to it's fullest potential with coupons, apps and more. I'm sure I will write up more than 1 post regarding a restaurant or eatery I wind up at whenever our area is in less of a high risk zone.

All of my social media platforms will be listed on this page so go follow them too, the more followers I have on their the more content I am able to produce and share with all of y'all.

I hope you all have a fantastic day, Remember to wash your hands, wear a mask and Make Good Choices~
